When Paul Dewar spoke to Thursday night’s POLM 5013 class, Political Management and the Media, the students found him to be the most candid MP they have yet heard from. He recalled being a student activist and how that eventually led him to run for a seat in the House of Commons. He shared his insights on his bid to become leader of the federal NDP, and the lessons one learns from losing. He spoke warmly of his wife, and since it was Valentine’s Day the students presented him with a box of chocolates for her.
