Joseph is the Head of Public Affairs at Lancaster University in Lancaster, United Kingdom. In this role, he leads the university’s relations with Westminster and Whitehall.
Previously, Joseph served as Manager, Public Affairs (Federal) with McMaster University, where he oversaw the institution’s federal government relations activities. This included planning and undertaking the delivery of projects and programmes across numerous policy areas, distilling research for a governmental audience, and developing the strategies to communicate findings to impact and inform policy. Through this work, he secured significant funding for the university, as well as vastly increasing brand awareness and the supportive network of stakeholders.
Prior to taking up this position, Joseph served as a Senior Consultant at NATIONAL Public Relations, where he was the leading hand with the government relations team, as they develop and executed government affairs strategies for a wide range of clients.
Joseph spent two years spent as a government relations professional in London, UK where he was responsible for developing strategy and undertaking government relations activities for a not-for-profit professional organization. This provided him with opportunities to deal with wide ranging issues facing Great Britain, including Brexit, skills, and productivity, as well as the chance to experience a British election.
