At Impact Public Affairs she established herself as one of the company’s best communicators in traditional and digital platforms. She managed the implementation of national social media and earned media campaigns that doubled the company’s year-over-year audience. In her spare time, Rita is an avid volunteer and campaigner, having helped elect candidates in ridings across Ontario, both federally and provincially. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Film Studies from Western University.
“The MPM program gave me the practical skills and confidence I needed to succeed in the field of politics. Before MPM, much of my knowledge was theoretical and not easily transferable into a political workplace. The program also opened my eyes to the diversity of career options in the field – from communications to lobbying to managing a campaign – and provided me the basic skills to succeed in each area. The program’s alumni network and networking opportunities propelled my career, and the connections I have made through the program are invaluable. I recommend this program to anyone looking for a unique and flexible program to enrich their traditional undergraduate degree.” – Rita Rahmati
