Degrees: | MPM/20 |
Victoria Jordan is an Account Manager at Edelman Global Advisory in Ottawa, working with the Public Affairs team where she assists with political monitoring, policy and legislative research, and supports various client needs in multiple sectors including technology, health and fitness, and aviation.
Born and raised just outside of Montreal, Victoria’s interest in politics was sparked in CEGEP when one of her class requirements was to volunteer for a candidate during the 2015 federal election. Since then, Victoria has had the opportunity to work on Parliament Hill for Lieutenant-General Hon. Andrew Leslie as a Parliamentary Assistant from 2016 to 2018 and help coordinate the 2019 re-election campaign for the Liberal Party candidate in the riding of Pontiac, Quebec.
Victoria holds a master’s degree in Political Management and a BA (honours) in Political Science, both from Carleton University. During her undergrad, Victoria worked as a research assistant for a professor in the department of Political Science, which greatly helped her research skills and policy knowledge, specifically around immigration.
“The MPM program allows students to learn from accomplished professors and industry experts who provide their unique experiences. The professors and guest speakers share a wealth of knowledge that cannot be found anywhere else. Through the courses offered, I was able to tailor my degree to my professional interests. The skills and knowledge I acquired not only prepared me for my career, but also helped me excel in my current position. I highly recommend the MPM for anyone who is looking for a career in politics, whether on or off Parliament Hill.” – Victoria Jordan
