Emily Taylor is an Anishinaabekwe (Ojibwe/Oji-Cree) from Ginoogaming First Nation. She is currently studying Indigenous Studies and Environmental Studies at the University of Ottawa. She has worked in areas of Indigenous Awareness, either at Transport Canada or in her daily life; and is currently working at Natural Resources Canada, in the Two Billion Trees Program.

She is currently learning Anishinaabemowin, teachings of land, her culture, and is very passionate about Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination.
