Rick Stewart is the former Executive Director of the Regulatory Governance Initiative (RGI) and Dthe Career Development for Regulatory Professionals (CDRP) Program in the School of Public Policy and Administration at Carleton University. Prior to assuming these current roles, Rick served for over 30 years in the federal public service after starting his career as an economic consultant in the private sector. During his public service career, he held a variety of senior executive positions in several different departments, including Finance (international affairs and trade), the Canada Revenue Agency (legislative & regulatory affairs), the Privy Council Office (financial/budget advisor) and Citizenship & Immigration (policy & service delivery operations). Most of these positions entailed responsibility for regulatory leadership and management.

Mr. Stewart completed both his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Economics at Queen’s University (Kingston).
