Survey Facilitator Position

We are looking for a facilitator to execute a survey at and about fishing derbies in Eeyou Istchee (Northern Quebec) in summer/fall 2022.

Project description
As a part of FISHES (Fostering Indigenous Small-scale fisheries for Health, Economy, and food Security), a collaboration between Northern Indigenous organizations, universities, and government agencies, we are conducting surveys at fishing derbies throughout Eeyou Istchee.  The survey asks participants about their experiences with and views on fishing derbies. Cree Trappers’ Association, the Cree Nation of Mistissini, the Cree Nation of Waswanipi, the Eeyou Marine Region Wildlife Board, and the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay.
