Annual Barbeque
The SEP program at Carleton hosts a barbeque every fall to welcome new students to the Sustainable Energy Department. Our new students are invited to a backyard cookout where they can get to know second-year students and alumni.
Annual Gala
It is our tradition every spring to host a gala for alumni, students, and sustainable energy professionals in the Ottawa area to meet and reconnect. A speaker discusses a topic of importance in the field of sustainable energy.

Mentorship Program
Currently, we operate a mentorship program in which we match current students in the program with alumni from the program who share their interests. Mentors provide career advice and support to students as they make the transition to the professional world.
International Women’s Day
Other events are also hosted throughout the year, such as Women in Clean Energy, which will be held on March 10th of every year, in honor of International Women’s Day.

As a final step, we publish a quarterly newsletter that aims to bring together the ever-growing community within our organization.
