The Directors of the SIM Social Work Research Lab, Sarah Todd and Kenta Asakura have been recognized as exemplary teachers by Carleton University.
Professor Todd received the Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award for her leadership and commitment to teaching and learning. The award recognizes educators “dedicated to sustained excellence in teaching, scholarship of teaching and the continual development of teaching.” Recipients are also designated as Carleton University Teaching Fellows.
Assistant Professor Asakura was awarded this year’s New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award, which “recognizes those new faculty members who underscore Carleton’s commitment to teaching excellence and innovation.”
