Come join us! From November 10-13 2022, some members of the SIM Lab team will be at the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Annual Program Meeting (APM) in Anaheim, California. This year’s APM theme is Leading Critical Conversations: Human Rights Are Global Rights and will feature social work education presentations, an exhibit hall, and networking opportunities.
Our Research Manager Katherine Occhiuto, Lab Manager Ruxi Gheorghe, and Post-doctoral Fellow Dr. Sarah Tarshis will be presenting When Reflection is Not Enough: Disrupting Reflection and Moving towards More Socially Just Practice on Friday November 11, 2022 from 10:45–11:15AM. This presentation will share preliminary findings from our project (PI: Dr. Sarah Todd), “Knowing and Not Knowing: Navigating Uncertainty in Social Work Practice”.
Later that day, our Post-doctoral Fellow Dr. Sarah Tarshis will be presenting Using Simulation to Train Social Workers on Trauma and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) on Friday November 11, 2022 from 2:30–3:30PM.
Both presentations will discuss research using simulation-based methodologies in social work research.
