Trans and Gender Diverse Inclusion
This session will provide staff members with key knowledge and practices for fostering trans and gender inclusive environments. Through a blend of lecture-style and discussion-based content, participants will learn key terms and concepts, build their understanding of the lived realities of trans and gender diverse individuals in the workplace, and strengthen their capacity to create and maintain a trans-inclusive learning environment.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this workshop, faculty and staff will be able to:
- Understand key terms and concepts pertaining to trans and gender diverse identities and inclusion.
- Learn practices for fostering an inclusive environment for trans and gender diverse colleagues and students.
- Explore potential barriers to trans and gender diverse inclusion and how to respond with allyship.

Session length: 3 hours

- Periods of sitting
- Listening to a facilitator
- Discussion and interaction with colleagues
- Viewing a multimedia presentation
