Özlem Atikcan, of the University of Warwick, is one of the professors associated with the Jean Monnet Network on Transatlantic Trade Politics. Her scholarly work combines a theoretical focus on political campaigns, issue framing, politicisation of trade agreements, transnational social movements, and diffusion with a regional focus on the European Union.
On November 19th, 2020, she sat down for a video interview with Sarah Mansour to discuss the importance of issue framing in referendums on complex topics — including EU Treaty reforms, international trade agreements, and Brexit.
