Two research projects focusing on artisanal and small-scale mining and gender in sub-Saharan Africa based out of the Institute of African Studies are profiled in the current FPA Voices issue (published by Carleton’s Faculty of Public Affairs).

It profiles two of the Carleton University faculty members and graduate students involved in these two multi-country research project that also involves partners from Partnership Africa Canada, the Coady International Institute (St. Francis of Xavier University), and the Uganda-based Development Research and Social Policy Analysis Center (DRASPAC), among others.
