PEAC 500: Developing Accessible Workplace Practices
The Challenge You’re Likely Facing
You’re responsible for supporting teams across the entire employee lifecycle – from hiring and onboarding to accommodations, performance, and retention. However, without a clear, shared vision for accessibility and accountability and how it shows up in day-to-day people practices, inclusion efforts often remain reactive and inconsistent.
$29,234
The average cost to replace one employee in a mid-sized Canadian organization – before factoring in lost knowledge, trust, and momentum.
When managers lack confidence and knowledge and systems aren’t designed to support diverse needs, employees disengage – or leave. According to a recent study conducted by The Harris Poll, the average cost to replace an employee in a mid-sized organization is $29,234, turning accessibility gaps into tangible business risks. Beyond the financial impact, organizations stand to lose trust, innovation, and the full value of a workforce that could otherwise thrive.
PEAC 500: Developing Accessible Workplace Practices equips professionals, managers, and team leaders with the knowledge and practical tools to embed accessibility across the employee lifecycle, moving beyond compliance to consistent, people-centred practices. PEAC 500 focuses on building disability confidence, strengthening accountability, and translating organizational commitments into accessible policies, systems, and everyday decisions. Through applied discussions, case studies, and real-world scenarios, participants develop the skills needed to support employees effectively from hiring through retention and career advancement.
