Accessible Career Transitions

Career Services offers programming for students who identify as having a disability through Accessible Career Transitions (ACT).

ACT Overview and Goal

ACT aims to close the employment gap for students with disabilities by developing and delivering a full suite of career development services for ACT students from all faculties and for the central Career Services office. Adaptive care is central to ACT Services. Through individualized and ongoing career readiness support, including specialized guidance on disclosure, workplace accommodations, and disability-related workplace themes, ACT fosters a student-centered environment that honours lived experiences and promotes dignity. Using adaptive and creative strategies, ACT empowers students to advocate for their needs, build employability, and succeed in the workplace.
