Biography
I joined Carleton after working several years in industry as an exploration seismologist and an aerospace engineering analyst. Based on this varied expertise, I established a research group in applied geophysics to pilot the use of emerging technologies – 3D laser imaging and unmanned aircraft systems, for example – in new applications in earth sciences. I am keen to involve students in all aspects of my research, from survey planning and field data acquisition, to processing and analysis.
I am a Full Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences and currently serve as Associate Dean (Planning) in the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs.
