Belinda Dodson is a human geographer whose research examines the intersection of gender, migration and development, with a regional focus on Southern Africa. She graduated with a BSc Honours from the University of Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa and a PhD from Cambridge University in England. She has held tenured academic appointments at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and the University of Western Ontario, Canada. She has also worked as a consultant, policy analyst and gender advisor. She currently serves as Coordinating Editor of theĀ Canadian Journal of African Studies (https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/rcas20/current).
