Congrats to Masud Rana for completing his Master of Engineering (Thesis) degree this Fall, despite various challenges throughout the year of 2020! In his master’s, Masud worked on understanding the effects of autonomous vehicles on pavement distress and road safety and how the pavement distresses can be optimized by developing autonomous vehicle movement algorithms. During his study, he produced several conference papers and journal articles which are under review. For his academic achievements during the program, Masud was awarded “Fellow of School of Graduate Studies Award” from the School of Graduate Studies at Memorial University, which has been added to his several past distinction awards including “University Grant Commission Gold Medal Award” for the outstanding performance in his undergraduate studies. In the near future, Masud will resume his service as an Assistant Professor at RUET, Bangladesh. ARTEL family wishes you best in your all future endeavors, Masud!
