Masud Rana

Program: M. Eng (Thesis); 2019-2020; Thesis Title: Effect of Autonomous Vehicles on Pavement Distress & Road Safety and Pavement Distress Optimization; Current Position: Assistant Professor, RUET

My name is Masud Rana. I am doing my master’s in pavement engineering at Memorial University. I am currently working to understand and model distribution of air voids in various asphalt mixtures. In addition, I am working in a pavement mechanistic design analysis project. I completed my B.Sc. in civil engineering from RUET, Bangladesh in 2014. In 2015, I  joined the civil engineering department of RUET as a lecturer, and recently I have been promoted to assistant professor. I participated in several national and international conferences and workshops including an workshop in National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.

  • Attended Transportation Research Board (TRB) 99th Annual Meeting from 13th to 16th January 2020, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C. and presented one poster on my research.
  • Attended Workshop on Sustainable Soil and Groundwater Protection and Remediation from 23 August to 1 September 2015 at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan City, Taiwan.
