Carleton University students build LTE drone

Carleton students built this LTE drone for their 4th year project. “It is capable of lifting and travelling with an additional payload up to 5 kg. Our drone operates purely on the LTE network. We can provide video of the first person view as well as live telemetry data to our internet connected ground station for executing missions or operating the drone manually. Our design is capable of executing autonomous flights. Drone can take off, land, execute missions and return to home without a need of an operator. There are defined safety protocols in case of an emergency or failure to prevent further damage.”
