Fred Nitzsche is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research interests include smart structures, aeroelasticity of fixed and rotary wings, helicopter individual blade control, aeroelastic reduced-order models, aeroelastic energy harvesting, and intelligent horizontal and vertical axis wind turbines and farms.
