Aryn joined CABER in Fall 2025 after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University in June 2024.
He is researching new construction wood-fibre panels for residential building envelopes that meet Passive House certification standards. This research is part of the Next-Generation Wood Construction project, T3-3-A: Prefabricated, Wood-Based Multi-Function Envelope Systems for Energy Retrofitting. The goals of his research are to evaluate the hygrothermal performance of thermally efficient wood-based panels constructed using innovative bio-products and to optimize a design for a new construction panel.
