David Lefebvre
M.A.Sc. Student
Degrees: | B.Eng |
David joined CABER in the summer of 2024 after completing his Bachelor of Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering degree at Carleton University. He is now pursuing a Master Applied in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Cynthia Cruickshank.
David is researching the effects of cool building materials and their impacts on building energy use and mitigating the urban heat island effect in Canadian cities. He is working on testing the cool building materials and developing models to assess their performance with the main goal of reducing the solar heat absorption of building surfaces. David is interested in sustainable solutions in a building’s envelope to reduce its energy use, especially with the prevalent impacts of climate change.
