Isaac joined CABER in Summer 2023 after completing his Bachelor of Engineering in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering at Carleton University. Isaac gained an interest and passion for energy efficient building designs and building performance while working on the building integrated thermal energy systems capstone project in his final year of his undergraduate degree. This passion led him to pursue research in the field of building performance as a MASc Candidate in the Building Engineering program under the supervision of Dr. Cynthia Cruickshank and Dr. Daniel Chung (University of Toronto). The research will focus on developing building energy models and detailed mechanical models to determine the optimal configuration and components required within the newly retrofitted buildings.
