Mackenzie joined CABER in May of 2025 as an undergraduate research assistant at the CABER laboratory. She will be graduating from Carleton University with a Bachelor’s of Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering in May of 2026.
Mackenzie’s interest in building envelope optimization and structural analysis research is why she joined CABER. She helps graduate students to construct in-situ wall samples for hygrothermal testing and is beginning to study the shear resistance of timber frame walls.
