Simone Bartley
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Simone joined CABER as an undergraduate research assistant after completing her first year in Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering at Carleton University in May 2026. With a passion for building retrofits and sustainable design, she’s driven by the challenge of improving how we build a more sustainable future. What drew Simone to the CABER team was the chance to dive deeper into innovative building materials and to take part in hands-on, meaningful research that connects directly to real-world sustainability challenges.
At CABER, she supports graduate researchers with materials testing, gaining experience in laboratory methods while learning the science behind durable, efficient, and environmentally responsible construction.
