The 2026 CanCH4 Symposium will be held at Carleton University in Ottawa on May 20-21, 2026. The event will feature leading experts, policy makers and analysts, technology providers, industry stakeholders, and academic researchers. The technical program will be developed by a dedicated scientific committee based on an open call for presentations, technical posters, and panel discussions.
Please submit your abstracts within the following cross-sectoral themes:
- Measured Inventories and Trends
- Detection and Quantification, Continuous Monitoring, Mobile platforms, Satellites
- Measurement, Reporting & Verification (MRV)
- Data-Backed Analysis of Mitigation Potential, Technologies, and Technoeconomics
- Regulatory Effectiveness and Methane Policy
We encourage you to submit an abstract even if it does not perfectly fit these specific themes.
Please follow the template below to prepare your abstract:
Accepted abstracts will be shared with conference attendees and should not exceed 2 pages.
Since spaces are limited, please submit your abstracts as soon as possible or no later than March 1, 2026 (11:59 PST). Abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee for suitability as they are received. Authors will be notified of acceptance as early as possible and asked to prepare a poster to present at the symposium. A subset of abstracts will be selected for brief presentation in panels organized around common themes.
