Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering

Carleton’s Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree program in Civil Engineering features courses in six general categories: geotechnical, structural, fire safety, transportation, water resources and environmental engineering, with special opportunities to work on design projects in collaboration with industry, government, or research partners in Ottawa. An emphasis is placed on problem-solving skills, laboratory experience, and design and advanced computer methods for civil engineering.

Interested in gaining work experience while studying in our program? A co-op program is available for our Civil Engineering undergraduate program and provides a unique combination of study and work experience terms ranging in length from 4 to 16 months.
