Charlotte Smith
Masters of Sociology Student
Charlotte is pursuing her Masters of Sociology. She was a LGBTQ peer research liaison with A Way Home Ottawa and Carleton University, and now works with United Way Ottawa. Her past experience as a homeless, crack-addicted sex worker inspires her to help those help those she had to leave behind.
How are you currently involved in community-campus partnerships for teaching, research or otherwise?
I am a peer researcher for Dr. Kennelly at Carleton U. I also work with United Way Ottawa. Primarily we are looking at how schools currently respond to homeless youth and youth who are at risk of homelessness.
