Chloe Poitevin
PhD candidate
I’m a PhD candidate (ABD) in the Department of Geography, and my thesis examines the concentration of power in the craft beer industry in Ottawa-Gatineau. I am interested in themes around more-than-human geographies, place-making processes, and diverse and community economies.
How are you currently involved in community-campus partnerships for teaching, research or otherwise?
My research assistantship with the Nourishing Community research group, lead by Dr. Alison Blay-Palmer enabled me to partner with community organization, Hidden Harvest, to examine the Social Economies of Food within urban fruit tree harvesting practices.
