Faris Ahmed leads USC Canada’s Policy and Campaigns work related to agroecology, biodiversity, seeds and food sovereignty, climate resilience and sustainable food systems — through active collaboration with civil society policy and research networks in Canada and internationally. He is co-chair of the Canadian Food Security Policy Group.
How are you currently involved in community-campus partnerships for teaching, research or otherwise?
USC Canada hosts several interns a year (Carleton, UofOttawa) from international development, journalism. We currently have an IMPACS arrangement for a post-doc. We regularly participate in research and policy forums hosted by universities, and often bring Canadian and international guest speakers. We are members of CAFS.
