CURAC is an umbrella organization of 40 retiree associations of which CURA is a member. It is a non-profit federation of retiree organizations of colleges and universities across Canada. CURAC is also linked into its US sister association, the Association of Retirement Organizations in Higher Education (AROHE). CURAC website.
CURAC’s objectives are:
- to coordinate activities that promote communication among member associations
- to share information about activities of member organizations
- to provide mutual assistance
- to speak publicly on issues of concern to the over fifteen thousand individual college and university retirees across Canada
Annual Conference:
CURAC holds an annual conference hosted by different member universities providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences on issues affecting retirees, as well as attend presentations on various topics. Also, to socialize, dine, and enjoy the sights of the host cities with colleagues!! The 2025 CURAC Conference will be hosted by McGill University in Montreal at the McGill Faculty Club and Conference Centre, May 21-23. The theme is “The Wellbeing of the Individual, the Community and the Planet”.
