Jason Jaskolka will be giving a seminar as part of the Ingenious Talks Online series lunch and learn seminar hosted by Carleton University’s Faculty of Engineering and Design titled “Staying Secure in the Era of Smart Things.”
Seminar Abstract:
Over the past decade, many of the devices that we use on a regular basis have become increasingly digitized, smarter, and more interconnected. Concerns related to the security and privacy of these devices, and the information that they use, store, and communicate are becoming a familiar fixture in the daily news. The increasingly widespread adoption of smart devices presents a growing range of complex challenges that have transformed the cyber security landscape. In this talk, we will explore and discuss the challenges and considerations for staying secure in the era of smart things.
