Much of the lab research takes place in Northwestern Ontario, centred out of Sioux Lookout. Sioux Lookout is about a 4-hour drive north of Thunder Bay, and is the ‘hub of the north’ for accessing fly-in First Nations communities. When students spend time in Sioux Lookout and the region, they learn about the unique environmental, social, and cultural features.
