The Montreal-McGill European Union Centre of Excellence and the Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship are hosting a workshop on the State of Democracy in the European Union on August 31. The academic workshop brings together a group of scholars to discuss the effects of recent political and economic developments in the European Union on the functioning of democracy, broadly conceived, at both the supranational and national level.
