May 2023 Finance and Administration Newsletter

Message from Lorraine Dyke, VP Finance and Administration

Message from Lorraine,

I am pleased to announce that the draft concepts for the Finance and Administration Strategy will presented at the June 7 Coffee Hour. In the coming weeks, the draft document will be posted to our website for the campus community to comment. We will be sure to let you know when it’s posted so you can share your thoughts with us. To everyone who participated in the process to get us to this point – thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you!

On another note, many of you may have heard that Sal Ugarte is leaving Carleton for a new opportunity. His last day at Carleton is June 9. For the last four years, Sal has used his expertise to establish a strong foundation for the university’s emergency management program and under his leadership the program has grown to what it is today. Sal also played a key role on the university’s COVID response team throughout the pandemic. Please join me in wishing Sal well as he embarks on this next journey.

As we move into the summer months, I hope everyone gets an opportunity to take some summer vacation to recharge. Have a great summer.

Sincerely,

Lorraine Dyke, Vice-President (Finance and Administration)
