FITA is now open for new intakes for the Fall 2025 semester.

Students must be registered as full time in order to be eligible for FITA during the school year and at least one course during the summer.
From Intention To Action does not have the capacity to support students on a repeated basis due to the high demand for mental health services. If you are looking to pursue the FITA program having already completed it, FITA will provide referrals to a provider in the community or access to primary care in the Health Clinic to ensure you have access to mental health care that is suitable for your needs.
There is a select number of Intake Appointments per week. We do our best to accommodate as many days and times as possible. If there is no appointment within 3 weeks that is conducive with your schedule, please contact us at fitaction@carleton.ca for further support.
Outlined below are the instructions for our E-booking portal. Please follow them closely to ensure your appointment is booked correctly and for the right service.

- You will verify if you have ever been registered with the Health and Counselling clinic on campus or FITA before
- If the answer is No
- Select “From Intention to Action (FITA) as your location
- Select “FITA” as your reason of visit
- If the answer is No
- Select “FITA Intake”
- Select your preferred date and time from what is available
- Provide your basic information
- Submit request
- If the answer is Yes
- Perform patient login
- You can provide health card or student ID for identification number
- Select “From Intention to Action (FITA) as your location
- Perform patient login
- Select “FITA” as your reason of visit
- Select “FITA Intake”
- Select your preferred date and time from what is available
- Verify basic information
- Submit request
For FITA intake appointments, please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the appointment will be rescheduled for another time.
