Amal Syed is a fourth-year Bachelor’s student in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Psychology. She is interested in web designing, graphic editing and writing. In 2021-2022, she will be conducting and writing her research thesis exploring concepts related to privacy and surveillance online, social media trends, etc. She is currently working closely with the Food Studies administrators in the web designing process of the Food Matters and Materialities: Critical Understandings of Food Cultures Conference website, scheduled on September 22-25, 2021 and is also Communications Intern with Extreme Networks.
