In an age when everyone can be a publisher, this course is geared to communications professionals working in government departments, not-for-profit organizations and companies who are looking to create their own highly-shareable content through text, visuals and captivating video. It is the next step for those who have established a communications strategy and are ready to learn how to move it into the implementation phase by taking control of their own media channels.
If you’re a communications and marketing professional, come to this workshop with your content ideas and communications strategies in hand, and we’ll immerse you in the world of digital and social media strategic storytelling.
Participants in this workshop will be introduced to and become comfortable with web-based tools such as:
- Periscope
- Facebook Live
- Instagram (photos and video)
- Pixlr
- iMovie and YouTube
A report by the Content Marketing Institute states that 93 per cent of B2B businesses in the U.S. use content marketing and creation to show expertise, grow an audience and promote their products. While this is still an emerging area for Canadian businesses, many companies and organizations are looking to produce more content in-house. This course will meet that need.
The course will be capped at 25 participants to maximize the opportunity for hands-on experience.
