Are you a current graduate student curious about participating in the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) contest? The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs invites you to attend a 3MT information session, where we’ll discuss eligibility, how to prepare a presentation, and the details of the contest. We encourage eligible graduate students from all of Carleton’s faculties to participate in the 3MT. Come and find out what it’s all about!
In order to participate in the 2020 3MT, you must currently be registered in either a Master’s program (with thesis or research essay) or a PhD program at Carleton. Students registered in degree programs that are strictly course-based are not eligible. You should also have made some significant progress in the research and analysis of your topic. Students that have successfully defended their thesis or dissertation, but have not yet convocated, are eligible. Other eligibility requirements will be discussed at the info session, but you can also find out more at our Carleton 3MT page.
Please register using the form below to let us know that you’ll be attending the one of the info sessions (you can choose one of two). If you have any questions, feel free to contact David Lafferty, Coordinator of Graduate Professional Development.
