The Office of the AVP Indigenous Teaching, Learning and Research (ITLR) publishes a monthly email newsletter called Nenìnàwinigewining.

Nenìnàwinigewining, which means “a place of sharing” in Algonquin, provides a platform to explore and celebrate the work of Carleton’s Indigenous faculty, staff, and students. The newsletter also includes updates from AVP-ITLR Kahente Horn-Miller and information about the upcoming and ongoing projects within the Ānako Indigenous Research Institute.

The newsletter’s name was provided by Algonquin elder and speaker, Joan Tenasco. The name demonstrates the newsletter’s role as a space for gathering in celebration, sharing in appreciation and distributing information about Indigenous teaching, learning and research on campus and beyond.
