Naomi Bird is nēhiyaw (Cree) and is a member of the Thunderchild First Nation in Saskatchewan. Naomi is a mother of two and has been married since she was 21-years old. Naomi has extensive experience as an educator and program developer for students from nursery to post-secondary. She also has experience working with students with disabilities as a Functionally Integrated Lifeskills Program teacher and as a Coordinator for Special Education programming. Naomi holds both a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. Naomi is the Research Facilitator, Indigenous Initiatives for the Ānako Indigenous Research Institute and supports the Office of the Associate Vice-President Indigenous Teaching, Learning and Research.
