Biography

Youcef is currectly in a Cotutelle Ph.D. program between La Rochelle University in France and Carleton University in Canada. He is a Ph.D. student and research assistant in both L3i lab in La Rochelle and the Sensor Systems and the Internet of Things lab at the Systems and Computer Engineering department at Carleton University. He served as a reviewer for multiple IEEE journals and conferences. Before joining the SCE department at Carleton University, Youcef worked as a research engineer at L3i laboratory in France, and before that as a research intern at the Computer Science Research Institute of Toulouse (IRIT). He received the M.S. and engineering degree in Computer Science from Ecole Nationale SupĂ©rieure d’informatique (ESI ex.INI), Algeria, in September 2020.

Research Interests

Youcef’s research interests include Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) adaptive resource management using AI methods, which includes user-to-MEC server association, Microservices placement, 3C convergence, Deep Reinforcement learning (DRL), Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL), and Federated Learning (FL).
