The IRRG Armchair Discussion and workshop took place on November 27th, 2019. The morning focused on Environmental Sustainability and Challenges Facing Industry Stakeholders. Participants from industry, government and academia discussed strategies for enabling environmental sustainability with speakers from the energy, marine, and defence sectors.
The workshop was followed by the annual Dean’s lecture that brought together distinguished experts from Canada and abroad to share knowledge and perspectives related to infrastructure resilience and security. This year’s lecture discussed the challenges associated with The Environment: Past, Present, and Future. University faculty, post-graduate students, government officials, private sector representatives and diplomats collectively discussed options and what the future might hold in an open and constructive forum.
