Welcome to the Infrastructure Resilience Research Group (IRRG)

The Infrastructure Resilience Research Group (IRRG) builds and shares knowledge to support the resilience, security, and risk management of critical infrastructure assets and networks.

Through research, professional training, information sharing, and collaboration, IRRG helps strengthen preparedness, reduce systemic risks, and support all-hazards resilience across critical infrastructure sectors.

The Mission

The Dean of Engineering and Design at Carleton University has created an Infrastructure Resilience Research Group (IRRG) to advise and promote interdisciplinary knowledge-building initiatives regarding risks and vulnerabilities pertaining to Critical National Infrastructure in an all-hazards environment, including threat assessments, managerial precepts and risk management solutions. This Group will carry out support applied research studies, professional training programs, national and international outreach activities, and publications relating to its mission.
