Intake
Intake is not an official phase of a project, but it is the starting point for all projects. During Intake, a Project Request Form is submitted via Eclipse. This form collects a variety of background information about the project, such as budget and organization owner. Once submitted, it is reviewed by the Manager, PMO, who determines whether the proposed project must be reviewed and approved by Information Technology Services (ITS), or the Information Systems Steering Committee (ISSC). Typically project requests that affect internal ITS systems will be reviewed/approved by ITS, and everything else goes to the ISSC for approval.
After the project request is approved, the project can proceed with the Initiation phase of the project.
