What is this service?
This service provides PC desktops, laptops, and servers, with the ability to be attached (e.g. joined) to Carleton’s CUNET Active Directory domain.
Computers attached to the CUNET domain enjoy a many features, detailed below.
How do I obtain this service?
For students, this service is included in the Public Computer Labs, and many of the Faculty-specific Computer Labs.
For Faculty and Staff, this service is typically delivered as part of Carleton standard image service, except the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering and Design, where it is delivered in selected departments.

- Ability for ITS Service Desk to Remote Screen sharing to assist in technical problem resolution
- Automatic installation of anti-virus software and monitoring
- Automatic connection to Network Drives – Campus at login
- Automatic connection to Print Services
- Ability to receive new software installs and updates over the network
- Ability for staff and faculty to add two-factor authentication
