Daniel’s current work PhD work involves the selection of an aptamer for TAR-DNA Binding Protein 43 (TDP-43) to be used as an inhibitor of protein aggregation in motor neurons in ALS patients. He also has experience in synthesizing oligonucleotide-peptide conjugates as delivery vehicles for Parkinson’s Disease. Daniel completed his BSc in Chemistry at Carleton in 2021, where he helped develop a lateral flow assay for a protein implicated in kidney failure.
