Daniela Márquez Ward
Postdoctoral Fellow
Degrees: | Ph.D Ottawa University |
Dr. Marquez received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Ottawa in 2017 were she specialized in the development of hybrid nanomaterials and the use of plasmon-mediated photothermal phenomena of incorporated noble-metal nanostructures for the design and operation of catalytic, photo-patterning and drug delivery systems. After that, Daniela became a postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory for quantum semiconductors and photon-based bionanotechnology at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at Sherbrooke University working in a multidisciplinary joint project with the LADDER focused on the development of 3D-polymer brush/GaAs photoluminescent biosensors for remote bacterial detection. At the beginning of 2020, Daniela became a postdoctoral fellow at the LADDER and is currently working on designing methodologies for aptamer-mediated noble-metal nanocluster formation and developing aptamer/nanocluster-based biosensors.
