Feruzi Ngwamba is a multilingual who speaks fluent Kiswahili, French and English, as well as Zulu. He is a former student leader and a social justice activist, a researcher, lecturer of Sociology and Political Science. He has led multiple student structures at local and provincial levels. He is a former member of the Student Representative Council (SRC) at the University of KwaZulu Natal Pietermaritzburg Campus, as well as the Provincial Academic Development and Transformation Officer of the Black Management Forum Student Chapter (BMFsc). He is a part-time PhD candidate in Policy and Development Studies at the University of KwaZulu Natal. Ngwamba is currently the Coordinator of Access Program College of Humanities in the Office of the Dean of Teaching and Learning at the University of KwaZulu Natal Pietermaritzburg Campus. A South African government-funded program that caters for students from disadvantaged educational backgrounds who did not meet university’s minimum entry requirements. Feruzi Ngwamba’s student and social justice activism, professional experiences in matters related to teaching and learning, curriculum design and academic qualifications have equipped him with multiple skills of dealing with different stakeholders at any moment and circumstances, capable to initiating and implementing program, in the higher education and community.
